General Orders of Division II

1987-1 In Re The Welfare of all Juveniles Found Dependent Under Chapter 13.34 RCW.

      The Department of Social and Health Services moves for this court to recaption all appeals concerning juvenile dependency proceedings under RCW 13.34. The Department refers to the policy expressed in RCW 13.34.110 and RCW 13.50.100 that juvenile dependency hearings and records are to be kept confidential, and asks that this court routinely recaption each appeal by using the juvenile's initials to serve the overall objective of assuring anonymity of the juveniles and their parents. The motion is well taken. Accordingly it is hereby

     ORDERED that the Clerk shall recaption all appeals from dependency proceedings by using the juveniles' initials instead of their names.
