Judge David H. Armstrong
Judge David H. Armstrong was elected to the Court of Appeals in November, 1995 and took office in January, 1996.
Judge Armstrong was raised in Kitsap County, graduated from the University of Washington in 1961, and Hastings College of the Law in 1964, where he was a member of law review. He is a member of the California bar and the Washington bar. Judge Armstrong served as a deputy prosecuting attorney in San Bernardino County before returning to Kitsap County in 1970 to enter private practice. For twenty-five years, Judge Armstrong tried a broad variety of civil and criminal cases, achieving the highest rating possible from a national rating service of lawyers. Active in both the Kitsap County bar and the Washington State bar, Judge Armstrong has served as special district counsel to the bar and as an alternate member on the Judicial Conduct Commission. Judge Armstrong and his wife, Stephanie, live in Port Orchard, where Stephanie is a school teacher. They have two children and have been active in a variety of Christian service, charitable and educational activities. Judge Armstrong enjoys playing the piano, reading, and family activities.
