General Customer Feedback

§         Ernie expressed concern with slow system response time on searches.

§         AOC is currently working on performance escalation issues.

§         Printing time is also slow. There are still direct print issues that are in the process of being fixed.

§         There was an ability to enter county as part of the search criteria in JUVIS and there is a request in to add this to JCS. The courts would like to see this item escalated from an enhancement. AOC does not currently capture county information in JIS so this would be a complicated enhancement.

Potential JCS Schedule Changes (Round 7)

§         Round 7 courts made the request to move the training schedule for them up to a time of year that would provide better weather for travel.

§         Thurston County will also have to be scheduled along with any other county that may run into similar problems with going according to the current schedule.

§         This means two additional rounds for late spring. Round 7 would become Round 10 scheduled for late April Early May. Thurston would be Round 11 scheduled for June with a total completion by June 30th.

§         In the blank created by Round 7 AOC moves to work on some of the current backlog. Also Island County is opening a new detention center and may need some additional training at that time.

§         It was decided that the numbers assigned to the rounds should not be changed as this may cause some unnecessary confusion with courts that have been identified by the current Round number.

§         It was also noted that it would be a good time for a break for the courts with holidays, vacations, and resulting staff shortages being a factor at that time.

§         Rena moved to accept the proposed change in schedule

§         Steve seconded the motion

§         Motion was carried unopposed.

§         A revised schedule will be posted and sent out via listserve.

Update – Data fixes

§         Thanks to Eric for submitting the schedule

§         The updated short term plan was sent out to the members earlier.

§         After a short pause to review there were no questions.

§         Trent stated that we have received some additional resources, primarily from the maintenance team, we will be attempting to keep some of the other resources beyond the end of the year.

§         Trent will update the plans for the round 7 blank by the next meeting.

§         The plan is to provide an update status for every meeting to the end of the year.

King County:

§         The question was asked on what is happening with King County.

§         The only things coming in are inquiries on network and table information.

§         Steve stated that the issue was put to the executive committee and was put aside for now because of more pressing issues.

§         Trent wanted to know what the court is looking for.  Steve explained that the court is currently working on another system integration to align with DSHS and the Child Welfare act. They are working with interlink to create an interface for other agencies to view information.

§         Steve will get in touch by phone with Trent and Eric when Paul gets back in town to update the status of this issue.

§         Eric clarified that the issue is whether or not King County will have extended usage of JCS. The JCS system will use King County data even if King County does not use JCS.  The gap analysis that was originally done with results at 40%-60% could be much less now because of the various improvements that have been done since then for statewide needs.

General:

§         Ernie asked when the committee would be meeting next as the current scheduled meetings end today.

§         Tania and Trent will be following up with the continued schedule.

§         The question was asked about what the plan is for a code committee replacement for Carol Hurlburt who has retired.

§         Could a replacement be gotten from Pierce County or Snohomish? Snohomish currently provides a resource from the detention side, what about for referral?

§         Is appointing a replacement something that Ernie should do?

§         Ernie stated that he would do so but would need a job description.

§         Charlene will send Ernie a job description, estimate of time commitment involved, and list of suggested names. Ernie will contact the potential candidates.
