Call to Order:

 

Commissioner Aronow called the meeting to order.

 

Board Minutes:  The draft November 14, 2005 minutes were approved.

 

Chair Report:  Judge Hogan asked the committee to review the 2006 Proposed Meeting Schedule and notify her of any scheduling conflicts.  She encouraged members to forward their committee selections to Sylvia Nelson.  All committees/panels were asked to schedule meetings through Shirley Bondon to avoid meeting conflicts.

 


Vice-Chair Report:  Commissioner Aronow informed board members that the Rules Committee would be reviewing proposed rule changes prior to the January meeting.  Shirley Bondon was asked to develop a list serve and communication protocol for the Rules Committee.

 

Committee Reports:

 

Application Committee:  Language concerning disclosure of a finding of abuse or neglect of a vulnerable child or adult is being distributed for comment and will be addressed at the January meeting.

 

Education Committee:  The Proposed RFP for Mandatory Training was approved with one change.  The submission date was extended in consideration of holiday schedules.

 

Ethics Committee:  Four Ethics Opinions are being circulated for comment and will be discussed at the January meeting.

 

Public Information Committee:  Committee chairs were asked to forward summaries of 2005 activities to Shirley Bondon for inclusion in the 2005 Annual Report to the Supreme Court.

 

Rules Committee:  Motion was made and seconded to approve the CEU amendment.  Motion passed.  New Proposed Regulation 117 – Financial Responsibility will be reviewed by the Rules Committee and presented to the Board at the January meeting.

 

Old Business:

 

2006 Retreat Dates:  Judge Hogan will explore possible dates with the AOC staff.

 

New Business:

 

The E-mail Protocol is in use and appears to be working well.  Suzanne Wininger will make a presentation about APS during the January meeting.  Peter Greenfield will present during the March meeting.  Commissioner Prochnau called the Board’s attention to Seattle Post Intelligencer articles relating to Public Guardianship.

 

 

Judge Hogan adjourned the meeting.
