Complete Mandatory Initial Certification Training

All persons and representatives of agencies who seek to be certified as professional guardians in Washington State must complete the University of Washington Extension Office (UWEO) Guardianship Certificate Program as the mandatory training.

The UWEO Guardianship Certificate Program is a nine-month program which consists of three courses: including 56 classroom sessions offered in four two-day (Friday/Saturday all day) classroom sessions at the UW Education Outreach Bellevue facility, as well as 44 hours of online distance learning.
