RULE 8.5 STATE AS OBLIGEE ON BOND The obligee in a bond given pursuant to rule 8.1 or 8.3 may be named as the State of Washington for the benefit of whom it may concern. If the State is named as the obligee, anyone has the same right upon or concerning the bond as if named as an obligee in the bond. The State of Washington shall not, solely because the State is named as an obligee, be sued or named as a party in any suit on the bond.
