LIRLJ 2.2 Filing of Notice An infraction is issued on the date the infraction is signed by the citing officer or prosecuting authority. When a Notice of Infraction has been issued, the notice shall be filed with the Court within five days of issuance of the notice, excluding the day of issuance, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. When the Notice of Infraction is presented to the Court, the Court clerk shall stamp the citation with the current date and the infraction shall be deemed filed on that date and not the date the infraction is entered into the case management system. In the absence of good cause shown, a Notice of Infraction not filed within the time limits of the section shall, upon motion, be dismissed with prejudice.
