LMCLR IR 2.6(a)(l) CONTINUANCES OF INFRACTION PROCEEDINGS A motion for a continuance in a scheduled contested or mitigation hearing must be made in writing and filed 7 days prior to the date of the hearing. The motion shall show good cause for continuance. The Clerk is authorized to grant a timely request for a continuance, unless (a) the defendant has previously sought a continuance; (b) failed to appear for a hearing; or (c) the defendant has either requested that witnesses be present or witnesses have been subpoenaed. Any other requests for a continuance shall be considered by the judge. (Effective 09/01/12)
