LMAR 1.3
Claim Limit
The limit for claims subject to mandatory arbitration
is $50,000.00, exclusive of interest, attorney's fees and
costs. For the purpose of this rule, a "claim" is defined
to be the net value of the claim, after all reductions for
comparative negligence or setoffs; e.g. if the plaintiff's
damages are $100,000.00 and the plaintiff is 50%
comparatively negligent, the plaintiff's claim is for $50,000.00.
