                          RULE 78.
            PROCEDURE FOR EMANCIPATION PETITIONS


     Emancipation petitions filed on or after January 3,
1994 shall not be considered by the court until such time as
a supplement (Exhibit G attached to these rules) is filed
for the court’s consideration.

     After an emancipation petition is filed, the petitioner
shall cause to be served upon his or her
parent(s)/guardian(s) a copy of the petition and a blank
copy of the response to the petition for emancipation
(Exhibit H attached to these rules).  Thereafter the
petitioner shall file a declaration or affidavit of service
with the court.

     Emancipation petitions shall be heard contemporaneous
with the juvenile dependency calendar by the Judge or
Commissioner presiding on the date the hearing is scheduled.
