RULE 1.2
COURT COMMISIONER AUTHORITY
In adult criminal cases, any Court Commissioner
appointed to serve in the Clallam County Superior Court and
qualified under Article 4, Section 23 of the Constitution of
the State of Washington shall have the power, authority and
jurisdiction, concurrent with the Superior Court Judges, to
preside over arraignments, preliminary appearances, initial
extradition hearings, and noncompliance proceedings pursuant
to RCW 9.94A.200; to accept pleas; to appoint counsel; to
make determinations of probable cause; to set, amend, and
review conditions of pretrial release; to set bail; to set
trial and hearing dates; to authorize continuances and to
accept waivers of the right to speedy trial.
