        NOTICE OF HEARING—TIME AND PLACE—CONTINUANCE

An arbitration hearing may be scheduled at any
reasonable time and place chosen by the arbitrator. The
arbitrator may grant a continuance without court order as
long as the new hearing date will allow the arbitration
hearing and arbitrator decision to be completed 30 days
before the scheduled trial date. The parties may stipulate
to a continuance only with the permission of the arbitrator.
A continuance of the arbitration hearing to a date less than
30 days prior to the scheduled trial date must be approved
by the assigned judge. The arbitrator shall give reasonable
notice of the hearing date on a Notice of Arbitration
Hearing Date form approved by the court, and any continuance
on an Order of Continuance of Arbitration Hearing Date form
approved by the court to the arbitration director.

Amended effective 9/1/01
