              ASSIGNMENT TO COURT COMMISSIONER


     Each dependency petition shall be assigned by the
Juvenile Court to a Court Commissioner.  The assigned
commissioner shall hear every contested issue from fact-
finding forward unless otherwise ordered by the court.
Issues set on the motion calendar, except motions regarding
placement or visitation, are not required to be heard by the
assigned commissioner.  However, a party may request the
assigned commissioner to decide the issue and must schedule
the motion accordingly.
