Proposed Rules of Court - Published for Comment only
Unless otherwise noted, all comments should be submitted to the Clerk of the Supreme Court by either U.S. mail or Internet e-mail. Comments should be received no later than the end of the comment period. Comments may be sent to the following addresses: P.O. Box 40929, Olympia, WA 98504-0929, or Camilla.Faulk@courts.wa.gov. Comments submitted by e-mail may not exceed 1500 words.

GR 9 - Supreme Court Rulemaking and Schedule for Review
January 2010 - Proposed Rules Published for Comment
The April 2, 2009 En Banc Conference ordered new Court Rule GR 34 to be published for comments on January 2, 2010. The rule will have a comment period that expires on April 30, 2010.
November 2009 - Proposed Rules Published for Comment
The November 5, 2009 En Banc Conference ordered proposed amendments to all CJC, ELC 1.2, IRLJ 3.1, RAP 10.3, RAP 10.4, RAP 12.4, RAP 12.7, RAP 12.9, RAP 14.3, RAP 15.1, RAP 16.20, RAP 16.7, RAP 17.4, RAP 17.5, RAP 18.1, RAP 18.14, RAP 18.6, RAP 2.4, RAP 4.2, RAP 4.3, RAP 4.4, RAP 9.5 thruogh RAP 9.8, RAP Form 15A,RAP Form 19, and RPC 8.5. These rules will be published for comments and will have a comment period that expires on April 30, 2010. Additionally, a proposed amendment to CrRLJ 3.2 has a comment period that expires on January 29, 2010.
July 2009 - Proposed Rules Published for Comment
The July 8, 2009 En Banc Conference ordered proposed amendments to ELC 2.7. The rule will have a comment period that expires on October 9, 2009.
May 2009 - Proposed Rules Published for Comment
The April 2, 2009 En Banc Conference ordered proposed amendments to APR 15, APR 15 Procedural Rules, RPC 1.15A, ELC 15.4, ELC Title 15, ELPOC 15.4 and new rule ELC 15.7. These rules will be published for comments on May 5, 2009 and will have a comment period that expires on July 4, 2009.
June 2008 - Proposed Rules Published for Comment
The June 5, 2008 En Banc Conference ordered proposed amendments to CrR 6.16, and CrRLJ 6.16, and to new rule MPR 3.5. These rules will be published for Comments on July 1, 2008 and will have a 60 day comment period that expires on August 29, 2008.
Within the Proposed Rules published for comment, additions and deletions are indicated by underlining and lining out respectively, except where the entire rule is new.
