This position manages a webcast studio and all webcasting efforts and is responsible for the overall online learning experience of webcast attendees. This role has oversight of the department’s online delivery of recorded programs; training, support and oversight of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) staff involved in those efforts; continued research and development for the purpose of effective delivery of Department’s webcasting and recorded programs both technically and from a business perspective. The Webcast Production Manager will consult, assist and coordinate as appropriate in other areas of the Department’s online business initiatives.
This position manages a Webcast Specialist and a Post Production Editor, and ensures adequate resources to support online programming developed by both the Education and Professional Development Department and WSBA as a whole. Other duties: develops policies, procedures, processes and training related to staff and faculty involved in the production of webcasts, webinars, and recorded training programs to ensure high-quality online programs.
Supervisory and management duties include: policy and procedure development; Professional development and coaching of positions supervised; allocating and prioritizing workloads; QA/QC of technical elements and overall capture of recorded programs; and managing customer service needs.
Requirements include supervisory/management skills and two years of college technical training or certificates in A/V and electronic media. Preferred: Bachelors and combined training/certificates in electronic media (i.e., video/audio) including internet delivery of products. Minimum of two years’ experience managing a team and two years’ experience in the creation of electronic products and online delivery; digital audio/video recording and editing, including experience using A/V equipment for webcasting, recording, or delivery of analog/digital media; excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, and project development skills; knowledgeable/comfortable with relevant technology and various software programs - Adobe product Suite preferred; and ability to train others.
