QUESTION

     Is it proper for a judge to remain a member of the local county bar
association after the judge assumes the bench?  If the answer is yes, is it
proper for the judge to sit on the board of trustees of the local county
bar association?


ANSWER

     It is proper under the Code of Judicial Conduct Canon 4(C) for a judge
to be both a member and serve on the board of trustees of the local county
bar association.
