| What is the Business Problem or Opportunity |
Superior Court use regular paper and a word doc to create warrants, I would like the JIS system to create a format to allow warrants to print on plain paper, rather than a printed form. |
| Expected Benefit: |
Using plain paper would save court budgets funds now spent on warrant of arrest forms. This would also save staff time when processing the warrants after printing. |

| Request Summary: |
This request is for an enhancement to JIS to allow Courts of Limited Jurisdiction (CLJ) to print warrants on plain paper rather than a printed form. |
| Business Impacts: |
This enhancement would reduce the amount of money courts expend on pre-printed arrest forms. |
| Summary of Proposed Solution |
The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) would use the current warrant form and content to allow courts to print on plain paper. Courts would not have to select an option each time they print. Instead, AOC would set a default for each court. As a court exhausted its supply of pre-printed forms, they would inform AOC and the default would be changed to plain paper for that court. |
| Proposed Solution |
AOC would use the current form and content, reformatted to fit an 8.5” x 11” sheet with data labels. AOC will provide the option to print on pre-printed warrant forms for an indefinite period until all courts have exhausted their supplies of pre-printed forms. |

During the week of September 19, 2011, ISD discovered that stock warrant forms are pre-printed with county name for certain district and municipal courts. This was not identified in the initial requirements. Mark Oldenburg solicited courts to determine if ‘County of xxxxxxx, State of Washington’ should print on plain paper warrants. From these discussions it was determined that AOC will provide an option for the courts to either print or not print the ‘County of xxxxxx, State of Washington’ on plain paper warrants.
Because of the new requirement the implementation date has changed from 10/17/2011 to 11/07/2011.
