What is the Business Problem or Opportunity

It is requested that the characters on the CPFM screen be increased to allow the placement of either additional months or the option of years.  Currently warrant expiration dates indicate a max on 99 months or 8.25 years.  Our inter-office policy is a purge date for warrants of 10 years or 120 months. We are unable to enter in this time frame, which it is my undersanding that LEA now enter in the expiration of warrants into the system for purging purposes as well. Thank you

Expected Benefit:

This would allow the courts to implement their judges policy for the purging of outstanding warrants more streamline.

Request Summary:

This request seeks to increase the size of the numbers of characters on the Court Profile Maintenance (CPFM) screen to allow the placement of either additional months or the option of years.  Currently warrant expiration dates indicate a maximum of 99 months or 8.25 years.  The inter-office policy in Clallam County is a purge date for warrants of 10 years or 120 months.  Because of the limitation on CPFM, the correct time frame cannot be entered into the Judicial Information System (JIS).

Business Impacts:

This enhancement would allow the courts to implement their local policy for the purging of outstanding warrants by allowing the ability to add longer time frames.

Summary of Proposed Solution

The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) proposes to change the field from two digits to three digits.  This will increase the maximum number of months that can be entered from 99 months to 999 months.

Proposed Solution

AOC proposes to increase the field size on CPFM from two digits to three digits. This will increase the maximum number of months that can be entered from 99 months to 999 months.

Despite the fact that this request also involves work on the CPFM screen and relates to warrants, this request cannot be combined with ITG Request 058 – CLJ Warrant – Print Page. The work involved in this request impacts different programs in JIS than the work involved in ITG Request 058.
