CRIMINAL CASELOAD STATISTICS

Criminal caseload statistics are grouped into ten offense reporting categories based upon seriousness of the charge. Seriousness of the charge relates to whether a crime was committed against person, property, or other (e.g., controlled substance offenses). The following lists the general offense categories arranged from the most to least serious crime. For cases involving multiple charges, the offense-reporting category is determined by the most serious charge.
