Collection Agencies

Official/Organization records for collection agencies are created & maintained by a court using the OFOA/OFO screens. See the JIS Administrator's Manual for Courts of Limited Jurisdiction, Official/Organization section for information and step-by-step procedures.

NOTE: Because a collection agency's Official/Organization record is shared statewide, any change to the name or address may affect another court.

Use the Official/Organization Duplicate command (OOD) with the partial name of the company and the name type CA to search for the organization person record for a collection agency.

To create a list of the companies frequently used in your court, screen print the Official/Organization (OFO) record or prepare a list of companies with their associated name codes.

Use the collection agency name code in a civil or small claims case on the Civil Case Filing Add screen (CIVA).
