Usage Notes

The case type is the second segment of the Superior Court case/cause number. Refer to JIS Person Business Rule 1.40 for detailed information on case types and causes which must use the JIS Person Database.

Restricted Case Types: A user must have security authorization in SCOMIS and in JIS in order to add, update, or display cases that are restricted casetypes. In JIS, restricted case types do not display on case history or DV Inquiry screens unless the user has security for that case type.
