BF

Bail Forfeiture
This transaction type is used to apply forfeited bail to a case. Effective July 1, 2012.  See note below.

EP

Early Payment
This transaction type is used if the case was filed on NCCA without a filing date and the court wishes to receipt a payment.

FP

Fine Penalty
This transaction type is used if the case has an accounts receivable. When payment is receipted in full with an FP transaction type, the case is NOT automatically closed.

PP

Penalty Payment
This transaction type is used if the case is an infraction and does not have an accounts receivable established. When payment is receipted in full with a PP transaction type, the case is closed automatically AND the PLS screen is updated to show a finding/judgment of paid.

TP

Time Pay
This transaction type is used if the case is included on a time pay agreement.

NOTE: Until June 30, 2012 Court Rule CrRLJ 3.2 allowed the Defendant to pay or appear for a criminal case. A “Bail Forfeiture” was entered as the final disposition on the case automatically when a receipt using the Transaction Code of BF – Bail Forfeiture was used. The code was changed to work the same as the Fine Penalty Transaction Code when the Court Rule was changed removing the Bail Forfeiture final disposition language effective July 1, 2012.
