Washington Courts: Press Release DetailState Supreme Court Inauguration Set for MondayJanuary 06, 2000
Newly appointed Justice Bobbe J. Bridge of the state Supreme Court will be sworn into office Monday, January 10. The inaugural ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Temple of Justice in Olympia. Bridge will be presented to the Court by Judge Anne L. Ellington, of Division One's Court of Appeals. Governor Gary Locke, King County Prosecutor Norm Maleng, and attorney Kenneth L. Schubert, Jr. of Garvey Schubert & Barer are scheduled to speak at the ceremony. Bridge has served on the King County Superior Court bench since 1990, having served as the Presiding Judge since February of 1998. She served as Chief Judge of King County Juvenile Court from 1994 to 1997, and as Assistant Presiding Judge from 1997-98. She was also president of the Superior Court Judges' Association.
