Washington Supreme Court Schedules Oral Argument Regarding Recount in Election for GovernorDecember 08, 2004
The Washington Supreme Court issued an order this morning scheduling oral argument in McDonald, et al. v. Reed, et al. on Monday, December 13 at at the
The oral argument will focus on a petition for writ of mandamus and other relief that was filed by the Washington State Democratic Party on Friday, December 3, asking the Supreme Court to order the Secretary of State to make certain rules and regulations to guide the recount in the election for Governor. Briefs from all parties were filed with the Washington Supreme Court on Tuesday, December 7.
The Court will review the case in an expedited manner, and will post its decision via the Washington Courts website at www.courts.wa.gov as soon as it becomes available.
Oral argument in the case is open to the public, with limited seating available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The entire proceeding will be covered live by
