Bailiff Orientation: Interaction with Jurors
The purposes of the course are to teach you the roles and responsibilities of a bailiff, your duties during trial and deliberation, provide an overview of the juror selection process, basic introduction to court terminologies, and an overview of typical daily issues.
Cultivating Cultural Competency:
The purposes of the course are to provide you with essential tools and skills to enhance your understanding of culture, cultural diversity and improve your cultural competency; to develop a judicial system that is inclusive, accessible, and respectful to court users and co-workers; and to increase the publics trust of the Washington Court system as a result of enhanced cultural competency of court staff.

Bailiff Orientation: Interaction with Jurors contains five units, with 3 – 7 lessons in each unit—22 lessons in total. It takes approximately 50-70 minutes to go through the entire course.
Cultivating Cultural Competency contains six units, with 3 - 6 lessons in each unit—23 lessons in total. It takes approximately 90-180 minutes to go through the entire course.
You may exit either course at any time and skip to the next unit upon your return.
