I have been a criminal defense attorney and litigator for over thirteen years and I have served the people of King County as judge pro-tempore for more than eight years, making rulings in thousands of proceedings, earning a reputation as an honest, fair and impartial judge. I am the father of three sons and seven grandchildren who live in Western Washington. I actively contribute to the community including volunteering for Kids’ Court, a program for child victims of sexual abuse (www.metrokc.gov/proatty/kids/index.htm). Mary Ann Ottinger
After practicing law for nearly nineteen years, I was appointed to the District Court bench in 1992. I have been re-elected four times and received two separate Judge-of-the-Year awards. Community involvement has always been an important complement to my work in the courtroom -- Kiwanis, Rotary and Chamber of Commerce commitments, as well as extensive work with the schools. I developed the Saferides program for teen safety and expanded the Student Traffic Court to include four Eastside high schools.
