A filing fee is not required for a motion for discretionary review (review of an interlocutory decision of the court of appeals pursuant to RAP 13.5 and 13.5A).

For a notice of appeal or notice for discretionary review, the filing fee is $290 and this must be paid to the county superior court in which you are filing the notice. See RCW 36.18.018(4).

Motions

At the Supreme Court, it is not necessary to call to get a date for a hearing on a motion. See RAP 17.4(a). Just file your motion along with proof of service and the clerk's office will notify all parties of the hearing date.

Opinions

Opinions are filed each Thursday at 8:00 a.m. They can usually be found on the court's home page by 8:30 a.m. at http://www.courts.wa.gov/opinions/. Counsel and/or the parties are e-mailed a copy of the opinion the day it is filed at no charge. If there is no e-mail address for a party, the opinion is then mailed to the address on record. We provide copies of opinions to anyone else for 30 cents a page.

Costs

The allowable per page amount is $2.00 for original documents. RAP 14.3(a)(3).
