(1) Commencing with caseload reporting for July 2013: (a) the Civil Protection Orders category includes the following causes of action: Unlawful Harassment (HAR), Sexual Assault Protection (SXP), and Stalking Protection Orders (STK); (b) the Domestic Violence category includes the following causes of action: Domestic Violence Protection (DVP), Vulnerable Adult Protection (VAP), and Foreign Protection Orders (FPO).

Prior to July 2013, the Sexual Assault Protection Order (SXP) cases were included in the Domestic Violence category. As a result, the Domestic Violence categories have been over-reported by the SXP cases since 2006. See the “Notes” tab for details.

(2) Effective January 1, 2021, the Other Petitions/Complaints category includes petitions filed under ESSB 6268 (2020 Legislation) requesting an order restricting abusive litigation (ABL-Abusive Litigation).
