Business Area: Other
Communities Impacted: AOC

CLJ Managers
Impact if not Resolved: High
Impact Description:

If the integration is not built for Laserfiche to EJ, through the integration platform, there is a risk that EJ will have incomplete data. Because of the efficiencies available through the Laserfiche application that are not present in EJ, courts will choose to continue using Laserfiche. This will create gaps in data for the state and other jurisdiction, as well as create barriers to local processing for those jurisdictions utilizing Laserfiche.

What is the Business Problem or Opportunity

Currently, AOC is developing an integration platform for Enterprise Justice (EJ), that will allow for other software to connect to EJ. At this time, the scope of work for development of the integration platform are OCourt products/software. This request is to add Laserfiche in to the integration platform when the work has been complete for the OCourt solution.

Expected Benefit:

There are many courts across the state of Washington that utilize Laserfiche. This is not just a document management system, but software with the functionality to support form generation and management, electronic processes, document workflows, calendaring, etc. More courts are adopting Laserfiche as a more efficient solution to caseload and caseflow management. This integration will allow courts to continue utilizing these great efficiencies, while still being able to share case documents with EJ.
