What is the Business Problem or Opportunity

Pierce County Superior Court (PCSC) has been managing their Cases in their local case managment software LINX since early 2000. Since that date, PCSC has been entering limited data in AOC's SCOMIS application through double data entry and SCDX web services.

AOC is getting ready to sunset its legacy SCOMIS. In order for that occur, PCSC should integrate with AOC's EDR to send data directly.

PCSC is proposing a partnership with AOC to develop an interface to integrate with EDR, which will allow them to transfer full case data for all PCSC case types to AOC for inclusion in AOC's various database systems and internal interfaces.

Expected Benefit:

Will provide full PCSC case data transfer to AOC and all other Washington State courts, without the need for the other courts to individually access PCSC's case information via a separate web based portal or receive partial information through AOC's legacy application.

PCSC will also enjoy an internal benefit of reducing staff work loads by eliminating the duplicate system enteries required to keep AOC systems up to date with the limited data entered manually by their staff.
