The Washington State Court of Appeals, Division II, will travel to Vancouver April 15 to hear oral arguments in three cases appealed from the Clark County Superior Court. The public is welcome to attend. The oral arguments will begin at 9 a.m. at the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver, 98669, on the 6th floor in the hearing room. The three-judge panel will include Judges Rich Melnick, Jill Johanson and Lisa Sutton. Oral arguments for each case include 15 minutes per side. Cases to be heard include: § 9:00 AM: State of Washington, Respondent v Charles E. Paschal, Appellant (Appellate case number 47379-8, Clark County Superior Court case number 13-1-00502-6) § In re the Estate of Robert Ridley, (Appellate case number 47403-4, Clark County Superior Court case number 13-4-00969-3 § 10:00 AM: Fearghal McCarthy, et al., Appellants v. West Park Partners, LLC, et al., Respondents (Appellate case number 47004-7, Clark County Superior Court case number 12-2-03111-1. The Court of Appeals Division II hears appeals of cases from the superior courts in Clark, Cowlitz, Lewis, Pacific, Skamania, Wahkiakum, Clallam, Grays Harbor, Jefferson, Kitsap, Mason, Thurston and Pierce counties. The Court has the authority to overrule, remand, modify, or affirm decisions of the trial court. The Court generally hears oral arguments at its courthouse in Tacoma, but travels when possible to hear arguments in other locations. It provides members of the public in those areas easier access to attend arguments and view the workings of the court.
