General Orders of Division III

Regarding Procedures for Filing Exhibits and Certified Administrative Agency Records

IN THE COURT OF APPEALS IN THE STATE OF WASHINGTON

  WHEREAS the Court of Appeals wishes to provide an efficient and prompt method for filing trial court paper exhibits and certified administrative agency records, and,

WHEREAS the Court of Appeals transitioned to Appellate Electronic Court Records effective August 1, 2020 and no hard copy paper case file will be created or maintained, it is hereby

            ORDERED:

1. The Court of Appeals waives the requirement that an original paper copy of any exhibits designated be filed with the appellate court.  RAP 9.7(b), RAP 9.8.  Electronic versions of the paper exhibits will be accepted. 
    
2. The Court of Appeals waives the requirement the original record certified by the administrative agency be transmitted.  RAP 9.7(c).  Electronic versions of the certified administrative agency record will be accepted.
