On Supreme Court oral argument days, the office will be open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Supreme Court Clerk's Office will be open for assistance via phone and email from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.About the OfficeThe Supreme Court Clerk's Office is a user friendly office. We understand that supreme court procedure is unique, so we do our best to help users through the process. If you have questions, we invite you to call us at (360) 357 2077 or send us an e-mail at Supreme@courts.wa.gov. The primary mission of this office is to support the court's judicial functions. We do this by applying the Rules of Appellate Procedure (RAP) to the cases as they are processed. The purpose of the rules is to provide a fair process that allows the court to decide the cases promptly and justly. Supreme Court ClerkSarah R. Pendleton was sworn in to office as the Washington Supreme Court Clerk on February 11, 2025. She is the 12th Clerk in state history, and as an Asian American, will be the first person of color to serve in the role. Sarah joined the Court in July 2021 as deputy Supreme Court clerk. Prior to that, she served as chief of contracts and legal services for the state Department of Social and Health Services, and in other contracts positions with DSHS. She studied international relations at the University of Washington and graduated from Seattle University School of Law. Contact Information
