The in-house AOC Accounting Codes Committee would like to request authorization from the JIS Codes Committee for development of four new Cost Fee Codes and four new BARS codes for courts of limited jurisdiction.
|
|
|
These codes would support courts that use an outside vendor to take payments for violations detected by automated traffic safety (red-light) cameras.
|
|
|
Availability of the codes may help prevent future audit exceptions for courts that use outside vendors for this purpose. Courts that use the JIS parking subsystem for red-light camera violations may also benefit from one of these BARS codes.
