Call to Order

Judge Grosse opened the meeting and introductions were made.

The minutes from the May 20, 2005 meeting were approved.

Recent Federal Legislation 

Recent federal legislation concerning online access to protection orders was discussed.  Everyone agreed that the legislation is unclear as to what type of protection orders it applies.  Most likely, the legislation applies only to foreign protection orders, but further research and consultation with other jurisdictions needs to be done.

JIS Contracts
Kathy Kuriyama prepared a summary of JIS contracts regarding fee waivers and exceptions.  Judge Grosse commented that the fee waivers looked appropriate as the entities all appeared to be doing the “business of the courts.”  He suggested that Ms. Kuriyama come to the next meeting and discuss whether the JIS contracts are current and what updates need to be made to those that are not.
