                                         Local Juvenile Court Rule 1.1
                         SCOPE OF RULES, PURPOSE OF RULES, EFFECTIVE DATE, AMENDMENTS


    (A)  Scope.  These local rules relate to the procedure in the Juvenile Court of Benton and Franklin Counties
and shall supplement the State Superior Juvenile Court Rules.  These rules shall also govern the policy and
administration of the Juvenile Court.

    (B)  Purpose.  The express purpose of the local rules is to develop standardized policy and procedures to
ensure the fair and efficient operation of the Benton-Franklin Juvenile Division of the Superior Court of the
State of Washington in Benton and Franklin County.

    (C)  Effective Date.  These rules shall take effect on the 1st day of April 1988.  All previous existing
local Juvenile Court rules are hereby superseded and declared void by the adoption of these rules.

    (D)  Amendments.  The Judges of the Benton-Franklin County Superior Court may from time to time amend these rules.
