Spokane County Superior CourtLSPR 98.16 ATTORNEY'S FEES FIXED BY COURT IN MINOR OR INCOMPETENTS SETTLEMENTS (f) Attorneys Fees. In those instances in which the court is called upon to set the reasonable amount of the fee for the lawyer acting on behalf of a minor or other incapacitated person, the court at the hearing shall consider the criteria set forth in RPC 1.5 and RCW 4.24.005. (g) Court Approval of Investments. The court shall make available a set of investment guidelines for funds held in trust for a minor or other incapacitated person. The guidelines shall be distributed through the Spokane County Bar Association Office. A reasonable fee, approved by the Court, may be charged for the printing and distribution of the guidelines. These may assist a petitioning party in formulating and presenting to the Court for its approval a proposal to invest such funds. Court approval shall not be required for funds to be placed in a blocked account in a bank, trust company or other insured financial institution such as a credit union.
