ATTORNEY'S FEES FIXED BY COURT IN MINOR OR INCOMPETENTS
                         SETTLEMENTS

     (f) Attorneys Fees. In those instances in which the
court is called upon to set the reasonable amount of the fee
for the lawyer acting on behalf of a minor or other
incapacitated person, the court at the hearing shall
consider the criteria set forth in RPC 1.5 and RCW 4.24.005.

     (g) Court Approval of Investments. The court shall
make available a set of investment guidelines for funds held
in trust for a minor or other incapacitated person. The
guidelines shall be distributed through the Spokane County
Bar Association Office. A reasonable fee, approved by the
Court, may be charged for the printing and distribution of
the guidelines. These may assist a petitioning party in
formulating and presenting to the Court for its approval a
proposal to invest such funds. Court approval shall not be
required for funds to be placed in a blocked account in a
bank, trust company or other insured financial institution
such as a credit union. The court need not approve the
acquisition of unconditional interest bearing obligations of
the state or federal government.
