3.         Purpose of Proposed Rule Amendment

Washington State law prohibits discrimination based on gender identity.  RCW 49.60.030,.040(27); WAC 162-32-040.  This amendment would conform the antidiscrimination provision of the Code of Judicial Conduct with chapter 49.60 RCW and WAC 162-32-040.

4.         Is Expedited Consideration Requested?  No.

5.         Is a Public Hearing Recommended?  No, because it conforms the JPC with the RCW and WAC.
