Impact Description:

Impact is high because the website reflects who we are and our work. We are unable to share the work we do effectively without an updated website where we can host that work.

What is the Business Problem or Opportunity

https://www.courts.wa.gov/index.cfm?fa=home.sub&org=wsccr&page=welcome&layout=2&parent=committee&tab=Welcome

That's the URL of our current Washington State Center for Court Research Website.

We are requesting a complete overhaul of the WSCCR website to better align its content with evolving internal and external needs. We are striving to make our website more accessible and visible to our key partners. As our team has grown, the current website no longer accurately reflects the breadth and scope of our work. We need an overhaul because merely adding additional pages to the current website will only contribute to burying important information for the public, courts, and court users.

We are committed to improving accessibility and visibility so that our website will be easy to navigate. To achieve these goals, we have worked with AOC's web design team and we collaboratively created a wireframe that, as per most recent communication, would be ready to be integrated into a development site.

Expected Benefit:

A thoroughly revamped website will help WSCCR communicate with its varied audiences. Information generated by WSCCR will be easier to find, increasing our mission fulfillment of producing information that court professionals, policy makers, stakeholders, and the public can actually use.

An overhauled website would more accurately represent AOC's core values of Integrity, Inclusion, Accountability, and Teamwork. A clear and easy to navigate external-facing website increases transparency and public trust. The updated website will make information more easily accessible for AOC staff, court staff, and court users.

Any Additional Information:

We very much look forward to working with the professionals in Web Services. We are excited about the modernization of our site and what it will mean for accessibility and navigability. THANK YOU.

Carl
