Impact Description: |
If this integration is not allowed, many customers will feel they have no way to successfully take care of their payments to multiple jurisdictions. They will be forced to resort back to trying to keep track of paying each jurisdiction separately at a much higher monthly payment for each court. Most customers on the UP Program participate because it is easier to remember to make one payment than it is to try to make separate payments to multiple jurisdictions.

What is the Business Problem or Opportunity |
This is a request to allow Catalis (aka: NCourt) to integrate with the new CLJ-CMS system to accepted and process payments for multiple jurisdictions. A number of CLJs participate in the Unified Payment (UP) Program. This program allows persons with outstanding LFOs in multiple jurisdictions to submit a single payment through Catalis that will be evenly distributed to all courts participating in the program. This makes it more convenience for the court customer to pay their LFOs with ease. There are currently 39 CLJs participating in the program and it is our goal to make this a statewide program.
I asked if the new eJustice system will allow for cross jurisdictional payments, and I was informed that the new system does not have this capability. Allowing Catalis to intergrate and continue to provide this service to the courts will maintain the efficienies we need to help court customers successfully take care of their outstanding LFOs.
|
Expected Benefit: |
The benefit of allowing Catalis to intigrate with the new CLJ CMS is customers who currently participate in the UP Program will be able to continue making their monthly payments to take care of their outstanding LFOs in multiple jurisdictions with one simple payment.
