What is the Business Problem or Opportunity

When DWLS 3 is reduced to an infraction in the relicensing program, the TBI fee cannot be added to CAR. Also, the time pay fee (ITP) cannot be added . I understand why, but perhaps this should be corrected, especially the TBI fee.

Expected Benefit:

Fees collected will be disseminated properly.

Request Summary:

This request seeks to enhance the Judicial Information System (JIS) to allow the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) fee and Infraction Traffic Time Pay (ITP) Cost Fee Code (CFC) to be added on the Create Accounts Receivable (CAR) screen when an Infrtaction Traffic issue is on a Criminal Traffic case type.

Business Impacts:

Fees collected by the courts would be disseminated properly.

Summary of Proposed Solution

The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) would modify JIS to allow the CFCs TBI and ITP to be used on Criminal Traffic cases when an Infraction Traffic issue is on the case.

Proposed Solution

AOC proposes to modify the CFCs TBI and ITP to allow these codes to be added to Criminal Traffic cases. This enhancement will be implemented to ensure that these fees could only be added if an Infraction Traffic issue is on the case.
