JUVENILE OFFENDER CASELOAD STATISTICS

Juvenile offender caseload statistics are grouped into nine offense reporting categories based upon seriousness of the charge. Seriousness of the charge relates to whether a crime was committed against person, property, or other (e.g., controlled substance offenses). The following lists general offense categories arranged from the most to least serious crime. For cases involving multiple charges, the offense reporting category is determined by the most serious charge. To see how a specific RCW is categorized, refer to the RCW list in the SCOMIS Codes Manual.
