Yes, CJC Canon 4(C) and CJC Canon 5(B) permit Judge Quanah to serve as a board member of the jury services foundation. The judge however may not personally solicit funds from the public or use the prestige of the judicial office to assist with fundraising. The judge may contribute to the foundation and also pay to attend any of its fundraising events. (Opinion 97-15)
