Canon 4(A) provides that judges may participate in activities
concerning the law, the legal system and the administration of justice.
The judiciary may purchase time on TV or radio to educate the public
about the judiciary. It may also accept donated newspaper space.
The judge may not personally negotiate with broadcasters or other
media to obtain donated time or space or to secure a reduction in
the cost for public education presentations. An employee of the
court may negotiate on the court’s behalf.
