Judge Sung may make direct contact with the staff of a fund granting agency to determine whether the interests of the agency encompass the project in which the organization is involved. The request may be oral or part of an application. The judge may sign the funding application and follow up with telephone contact and face-to-face meetings. (Opinion 02-10)
