Washington Courts Celebrate
May Treatment Court Month

May 2025 marks National Treatment Court Month, a time to honor the vital work of treatment courts and the individuals committed to helping people heal and rebuild their lives after facing incredible challenges. In Washington State, the observance is known as Therapeutic Court Month, reflecting the state's deep commitment to restorative, community-based justice.

The Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) is proud to be a national leader in the advancement of therapeutic justice. As one of the earliest supporters of treatment court innovation, AOC continues to provide funding, technical assistance, and leadership to more than 150 therapeutic courts across the state. These efforts are further strengthened by the Behavioral Health and Family & Youth Justice program teams at AOC, who provide specialized support to ensure these courts remain effective, equitable, and accessible.

Throughout May, AOC will shine a spotlight on transformational courts and inspiring personal stories from across Washington's therapeutic court system-highlighting real progress, restored families, and renewed futures.
