Document Requests

Copies of documents may be requested in writing, by e-mail or by phone. All document requests over 15 pages will be sent to the copy center for processing. This process may take 15 to 20 days and this time frame should be factored in when requesting documents. Large requests may take up to 30 days and may require prepayment.

If a document is located at the State records center, additional time is need to obtain that document and send it to the copy center. Copies may be picked up or mailed to the individual. Standard postage will be added to the cost of reproduction if the copies are mailed. The average cost for reproduction from our copy center is approximately five cents per page.

For document requests of older cases that are in the possession of the State Archives Center, you will be referred to the State Archives to request copies (e-mail: archives@sos.wa.gov or phone 360-586-1492). Records at the State Archives are no longer the property of this court.
