- A candidate may not solicit campaign contributions
earlier than 120 days from the date when filing for the
office is first permitted.

Canon 7 does not place any time restrictions on when
a candidate can establish a committee and it does not
place any limit on the number of people who may serve
on the committee.
- Judicial candidates may establish committees
of responsible persons to secure and manage campaign funds
and to obtain public statements of support.

Canon 7(B)(2) does not place any limitations of
the persons who a judicial candidate may select to
serve as an honorary chair.
