The Certified Professional Guardianship and Conservatorship Board is proposing amendments to Regulation 509.6 Interim Suspension in Other Circumstances.


The amendments are proposed to: identify more appropriate structures to address interim suspensions, clarify procedural roles, and harmonize regulatory provisions. The primary change is to utilize a Hearing Officer to implement the interim suspension procedures.


The proposed amendments to Regulation 509.6 Interim Suspension in Other Circumstances were discussed by the Certified Professional Guardianship and Conservatorship Board (CPGCB) at the March 10, 2025 Board Meeting.

The Certified Professional Guardianship and Conservatorship Board is proposing amendments to Regulation 501.4 Definitions.
The amendments are proposed to: clarify the definition and role of a Hearing Officer. The proposed amendments to Regulation 501.4 Definitions were discussed by the Certified Professional Guardianship and Conservatorship Board (CPGCB) at the March 10, 2025 Board Meeting.

The Certified Professional Guardianship and Conservatorship Board (CPGCB) is proposing amendments to Regulation 508.1 General Procedure.

The amendments are proposed to: clarify how Hearing Officers are selected. The proposed amendments to Regulation 508.1 General Procedure were discussed by the CPGCB at the March 10, 2025 Board Meeting.

CPGCB Consideration of Adoption


The Certified Professional Guardianship and Conservatorship Board will review comments, discuss and consider adopting the proposed amendments during its May 12, 2025 Board Meeting. The Board Meeting will commence at 7:30 a.m. The Board meeting will occur via Zoom at: https://wacourts.zoom.us/j/86754929148. The anticipated effective date of proposed amendments is upon adoption by the CPGCB.


Comments will be accepted any time between the date the proposed amendments to the Regulations are posted and the close of business on April 18, 2025.
