General Orders of Division II

1992-3 In RE The Matter of all Appeals of Persons Subject to Involuntary Commitment Proceedings, RCW 71.05.

GENERAL ORDER 92-3 IN RE THE MATTER OF ALL APPEALS OF PERSONS SUBJECT TO INVOLUNTARY COMMITMENT PROCEEDINGS, RCW 71.05.

The Attorney General representing the Social and Health Services Division moves for this court to protect the identity of all persons subject to proceedings under RCW 71.05, the involuntary civil commitment act. The Attorney General refers to the policy expressed in RCW 71.05.390 and 71.05.630 that the admission and treatment records of such persons are to remain confidential, and asks this court to recaption each appeal by using the person's initials to serve the objective of confidentiality. The motion is well taken. Accordingly, it is hereby

ORDERED that the clerk shall recaption all appeals from involuntary civil commitment proceedings by using the subjects' initials instead of their names.
